FAQ
(1) If I send you a full paper, can I just get the abstract published if it's accepted? Or if a full paper is sent to you and accepted, the full paper has to be included in the Proceedings? And if I just want to get an abstract published, I can just submit an abstract? Please clarify it.
It is authors' right to decide to publish the full paper(s) or abstract(s) in the proceedings.
(2)What kind of time table are we looking at? I mean after Jan.31, the deadline, when will we expect to hear from the review committee? Are we going to hear the final results from the committee before March 31, the due date for the registration?
Notification of acceptance/rjection would be send out at February 28, 2005. Please let us know if you prefer to receive the notification before the date for any reasons.
(3)Will each accepted paper be published in full, or will some only be published in abstract form?
It is authors' right to decide to publish the full paper(s) or abstract(s) in the proceedings CD-ROM.
(4)Who will review the papers for this conference? Will they be reviewed by peers around the world, or just a small committee or track chair?
Due to the tight schedule, the papers will be blind reviewed by two members of BAI2005 organizing committee.
(5)I can see that the journal edition published after this conference will have an ISSN number. Will it be published on the web or in hard copy only? If hard copy, will it be available for sale to all memebers of the public, or only to those who attended the conference?
The journals, both IJBI and CMR, will published in hardcopy. It be available for sale. The annual subscription rate for CMR is $200.00 (US$) for institutions and $150.00 (US$) for individuals, which includes airmail postage for all destinations. The subscription rate of IJBI would be announced soon.
(6) I wish to submit two papers to your esteemed conference, one that is single authored and one where I am a co-author (I will be doing the submission and will also be the contact person). My question is what will be the fee structure like in this case, do I pay USD 350/- (250 plus 100) or will it be USD 500/- (can they be considered as two separate submissions by separate authors).
The register fee would be USD 350/- (250 plus 100). However, the register fee would be USD$ 500 if you hope to register two participants and get two conference supplements (proceedings in CD-ROM, lunch tickets, and one year hardcopy journal Contemporary Management Research).
(7) I see the offical language of BAI2005 is english. My thesis is written by Chinese. May I submit my paper to your conference in chinese?
As you knew, the offical language of "International Conference on Business and Information (BAI2005)" is English. All presentations, including articles and oral presentations, should be in English.
(8) The acceptance letter that I got establish that I have tosend the final version of my papers. I tried to do it online but the website is not working, may I send them by email?
To avoid possible consfusion between manuscript submission and final submission, the final submission link is not available now. Please wait a moment for the final submission link. The final submission link will be added into the website after the submission deadline, 31 Jan 2005. In fact, that final submission link would be available when we send out all the notify letters. The date is Feburary 28, 2005 in schedule.
(9) I had read that the maximum length of papers for this conference is 20 pages. Is this the correct length for the conference proceedings.
The length of manuscript for the conference proceedings in CD-ROM is 20 pages.
(10) I'd like to know if an abstract or the full paper should be submitted. If both are acceptable, may I know the required length of the abstract?
Both abstract and the full paper are acceptable for submission. Please provide one to two pages extend abstract if you choice to submit abstract rather than full paper.
(11) Will theoretical papers be welcome as well? Or will empirical papers be given priority?
Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome.
(12) I am planning to publish the abstract in the conference proceedings and the full paper in CMR. So I need to email you both abstract and the full paper by March 31. Is my understanding correct?
Incorrect!
You need to email manuscript with submission letter to Dr. Wenchang Fang (National Taipei University) at cmr@atisr.org. Your submission letter should include the paper ID of BAI2005 conference. You can email the manuscript at anytime you want. Some participants prefer to submit after the conference. Some prefer to submit before the conference. It's authors' decision. March 31 is the deadline for BAI2005 rather than CMR.

(20) I am sure the publication CMR and IJBI is in hard copy, so will both the authors receive one hard copy of the journal i.e. charges are included in the registration fees.
All registered participant will receive one year (four issues) CMR. However, IJBI is not free for BAI participants.

FINAL PAPER FORMAT
Final submission format is available at the website http://atisr.org/conference/Format.doc.
The final version should be submitted electronically via conference submissions system. Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word. The conference follows the format of Academy of Management Journal. This format is available at the AMJ's website http://aom.pace.edu/amjnew/style_guide.html. Guidelines and sample pages will be e-mailed with the letter of acceptance and are available at http://atisr.org/conference/Format.doc. In general, the paper must be prepared the way you want it to appear in the proceedings. Authors could choice to publish their full papers or one page abstracts in the conference proceedings (ISSN 1729-9322). All papers must be original and not published anywhere. However, the authors do not need to transfer copyright of papers or abstracts included in the proceedings. This means authors could submit their articles for journals or books after the BAI2005 conference. If the authors decide to submit their articles to International Journal of Business and Information (IJBI) or Contemporary Management Research (CMR), they have to transfer copyright upon accepted.
BEST PAPERS AND PUBLICATION OPPORTUNITIES
Best papers will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Business and Information. It is a new journal sponsored by the Academy of Taiwan Information Systems Research. The inaugural issue will be published in December 2005.
All full papers accepted in conference will be accepted to be published in the Contemporary Management Research (CMR), a refereed, serial publication of BAI conference with ISSN number. The authors may decision to submit or not their manuscripts to CMR.
Both the International Journal of Business and Information (IJBI) and Contemporary Management Research (CMR) are publications sponsored by BAI conference and ATISR. IJBI is different from CMR in that IJBI is the premier official journal publication of ATISR. IJBI applies a much more rigorous and lengthy review process, and it is more selective in the articles it publishes than does CMR. Whereas CMR is published in conjunction with an annual conference, IJBI is not associated directly with an annual conference. The papers selected for publication in CMR are expected to be presented at the annual conference. The journal articles published in IJBI are completely independent of annual conference participation and presentation.
There is no page charge for IJBI. However, the CMR imposes page fees on all accepted manuscripts. These fees are necessary to offset the very substantial cost of putting a manuscript into print. The CMR page fee is $25.00 per single-spaced page.
